​Laurelwood Arboretum, Wayne NJ - SUMMER 2026

WATERCOLOR CLASS

In this class, surrounded by nature, we will paint florals, landscapes and whatever else the environment inspires us to create. Working with wet in wet watercolor techniques we will learn how to control the paint, glazing, color mixing and how to pull the viewer into the painting with an interesting composition.

​PLEIN AIR CLASS

This plein air class will focus on how painting in the sun and nature affects us, our work and gives us a feeling we will want to capture. Because the elements change the colors and lighting in the landscape, a faster and looser approach is required. We will work on simplifying the composition, layering washes of colors and use dry brush techniques to create a dynamic composition.
